Michael Bloomberg is making a bid for The World’s Tech-Savviest Mayor, announcing that his New Year’s resolution for 2012 is learning to write code (take that Rahm Emanuel!). Bloomberg tweeted yesterday that he’s enrolling in Codecademy, a five month old start-up company that’s quickly become a favorite among tech journalists.
In case you’re questioning Bloomberg’s digital street cred, he is indeed the Mayor of New York’s City Hall on Foursquare, with 38 checkins in the last 60 days. Sadly, the current mayor of Chicago’s City Hall on Foursquare is this guy (take that Rahm Emanuel!).
