DRM is Dead

Anybody who thinks Big Media can keep hackers from learning how to crack DRM should go to Digg and look at the top Diggs.  There is a new all time record for most dug story (http://blog.digg.com/?p=74) where the owners of Digg agreed to stop trying to pull down links to articles that provide the hack to crack HD DVD DRM.  Evidently, Digg Inc. was served a cease and desist letter to remove such links.  When the community learned that Digg was censoring this information, they overwhelmed the censorship system by rapidly Digging any and all stories with the DRM hack.  Eventually Digg Inc decided there is no way to comply with the cease and desist letter.  An interesting example of information wanting to be free.
