Here Comes The Wii Mini – Not Sure You’d Want It

Nintendo has announced a new derivative of it’s popular Wii game platform. The new “Wii Mini” will be retail for $99.99 in Canada only, starting on December 7.

While the Wii Mini offers users the opportunity to play the entire catalog of pre-existing Wii games it doesn’t allow the user to connect to online services or use online connectivity for network enabled games.

There are no known, announced plans to bring the Wii Mini to the United States or other markets, but we believe that a value oriented offering such as the Wii Mini could arrive stateside by the spring.

The Wii Mini arrives hot on the heels of the launch day success of the Wii’s successor, the WiiU.
