The new partnership between Pizza Hut and Xbox brings a dedicated app that lets users build, purchase and share your pizza order using voice commands, gesture control or the controller. While the app may sounds a little odd, it is the first of its kind to enable physical purchases within the platform. Time will tell if Xbox commerce will gain some traction or if people will simply rely on mobile devices.

Shazam Aiming To Tackle TV Commerce?
With 20 million downloads, Shazam is quickly becoming the premier provider for second screen experiences beyond music identification. Shazam has branched out to TV programming and appears to be interested in couch commerce, enabling purchases based on the TV content. As CEO Andrew Fisher explains, “We have the ability to identify the product in a TV show so that when someone Shazams it, they could find out where a presenter’s dress is from in one click.” The potential solution cuts out the discovery phase altogether, enabling consumers to purchase at the point of inspiration.
Square’s Latest Integration
For an example of seamless payment, take a look at Square’s integration with Angie’s List. The consumer review service will now let participating vendors accept payments via Square from within the Angie’s List iOS app. The move signals expansion for Square as many others will likely incorporate the payment technology into their own properties.
