Major League Baseball Games Come To Second Life

The Electric Sheep Company has just announced that it’s going to be hosting real-time enactments of two major league baseball games this month at a virtual Yankee Stadium. Electric Sheep worked with MLB.com to do something similar for their Homerun Derby earlier this year. Seats are going to be limited to 45 per game (presumably to cut down on lag) and tickets are going to go on sale next week at SLBoutique.com. Looks like they’re going to go for about L$500 each, or roughly $1.50 U.S.

The games will be held in a virtual recreation of the yet-to-be-built Yankee Stadium and showcase tiny representations of real world baseball players throwing, catching, running and batting

The two games that are going to be enacted are Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees on Sept. 15 at 4:05 P.M. PST and Sept. 16 at 5:05 P.M. PST.

So, there won’t be any media blackouts for this, right?
